Creole Poodle Rescue- Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in one of our rescued poodles (or poodle mixes). We have an adoption process that goes as follows:
All adoptions start with an application, please fill out and submit back to us. We then review the application and check your veterinarian references. Please make sure you provide us with the phone number of your vet. The next step is a phone interview followed by a home visit. We only adopt to residents of Louisiana and surrounding states where we have available volunteers to help us. You must be 21 years old with a valid ID to adopt from our rescue.
All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout South East Louisiana. We do not have a central location where you can “meet” the dogs. Once your application has been approved we will then set up a meeting between you and the dog through the foster mom.
Our goal is to match the dog with the family. Our foster moms provide us with information about their personalities. We try to find out what you are looking for in a pet, and then match the dog to your home situation.
Our adoption fees are $200 for dogs under 25 pounds and $500 for larger doodles and standard poodles. This includes all vetting: spay/neuter, all shots, heart worm test, 1st months heart worm prevention, and grooming on intake into rescue.
Thank you for your understanding, the dogs are our number one concern and we want to make sure they go to the right homes. If you have any questions about our adoption process, please feel free to ask.
Due to the high volume of emails and applications we receive, we apologize that we can not respond to them all. We are all volunteers….
We would like to adopt Jazzy. We have a 10 year white toy Bella and feel this would be a great match.

I sent an app on Jazzy but got an email that there were lot of apps. We lost our 14 year old Standard last Oct and she was red as well as I was in chemo and radiation all last year. Jazzy is the same color as Maggie and seems to have a great personality. The end of the year I was found to be cancer free. Instead of getting a new puppy we felt our heart led to adolption. We hope you will consider us for her.

I just sent in an application for Max. I black and white, 1 year old puppy that I saw on your FB feed last night. I don’t see him listed here though. So I hope I did the right procedure as we would be very interested in adopting him.
